Born and raised in Rhode Island
I have been playing the trumpet for most of my life. I picked up the horn in the fourth grade and have played it ever since. In high school, I was exposed to playing with various ensembles, ranging from concert bands to jazz bands and marching bands. A musical journey that led me to marching in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, as well as performing in Disney Springs. Out of high school I made the decision to pursue music professionally.
After Highschool I studied trumpet at the University of Rhode Island. Studying with world class trumpet players Mark Berney and Doug Woolverton, as well as world class bassist/composer/arranger David Zinno. My experience in college led me to take the stage at the Newport Jazz Festival not once, not twice, but four times in my career.
After college I still continue to play and teach as well as balance a full-time job. I primarily play trumpet with blues bands, rock-n-roll bands, and funk bands. I freelance with wedding bands in the greater Boston area, pick up the occasional Jazz Gig and regularly play with bands such as the Rob Davis Band, The Green-Eyed Soul, and The Molly Maguires.
I am currently working on my own Funkadelic horn centric project, The Half-Baked Horns, as well as working on building my studio of students.
